AutoArena›Auto battlers›Clash Mini Alternative
A Clash Mini alternative in your browser
Clash Mini's servers closed on 25 April 2024. AutoArena is an independent game in the same shape — a hero and 5 minis on a small board, one against one, first to 3 round wins — and it is free in a web browser on a phone or a computer, with nothing to install.
What happened to Clash Mini
Supercell announced Clash Mini in April 2021 and opened its beta on 8 November 2021, in a handful of countries at first. It was only ever on iOS and Android, and it never launched worldwide. On 14 March 2024 Supercell announced the end of development, calling it "a good game but not the game that would ultimately fulfill our dream", and the servers closed on 25 April 2024.
Supercell said it would bring the Clash Mini experience to Clash Royale. On 29 June 2025 Clash Royale added Merge Tactics, a four-player auto battler mode inside that app.
What will feel familiar
- One opponent, best of five. A match is a duel: the first to 3 round wins takes it, in four to five minutes.
- A hero and 5 minis. You choose the deck before the match, and the hero starts on the board for free.
- Elixir every round. Spend it on new minis or stars. Whatever you don't spend carries over, and the player who lost the last round draws 5 more.
- Stars. Buy a mini again to star it up, to 3 stars.
- Placement decides it. A mini stays where you put it once its round is fought; your hero is the piece you move.
What is different
- It runs in a browser. On a phone, a tablet or a computer, with nothing to install. Clash Mini was only ever an app.
- Opening moves. The board is 7×8, and before the first blow a Juggernaut charges down its column, a Shade leaps onto the back row, a Gaffer hooks whatever stands three tiles ahead, a Javelineer throws a spear and a Mason raises a stone wall.
- Heroes grow. A hero gets stronger every round — 1.6× its health and damage by round 5 — and you can move it in every plan phase.
- Three stars change the ability. At three stars each mini's ability turns into a stronger form, not just bigger numbers.
- 3D characters. Every mini and hero is a 3D character, built in code and animated live in the browser.
- Nothing sold for money. Minis unlock with coins earned by playing, and there are no advertisements.
- A smaller game. AutoArena is made by a small independent studio, so at quiet hours you will often face the AI, which steps in after a few seconds when nobody else is searching.
Other places to look
- Merge Tactics in Clash Royale. Supercell's own successor: a four-player auto battler mode inside the Clash Royale app, on phones.
- Super Auto Pets. A shop-and-lineup auto battler, mostly against teams other players built earlier. Free with paid packs, in a browser at teamwood.itch.io, on Steam and on phones.
- Pokémon Auto Chess. A fan-made, open-source auto chess in the browser at pokemon-auto-chess.com, for up to eight players. Unofficial.
