What's new in AutoArena
AutoArena is still being made: new minis, new modes and changes to the rules land every week or so. Every change a player would notice is listed here, newest first. The latest was on 2 November 2026.

— Quests, a quicker first match, and a lighter load on phones
- A Quests section on the menu: save your account with an email or Google and get 2,000 coins, once.
- Invite a friend with your own link. When they play their first ranked match, you get the Juggernaut.
- A new player is in their first fight seconds after the welcome screen, and the Javelineer is yours after three wins.
- The leaderboard shows this season's players only.
- The loser of a round now gets its 5 extra elixir on top of the next round's purse, and winning never takes anything away.
- Each screen is drawn only as often as it needs, so a match uses less battery.
— Every mini and hero in 3D
- Every mini and hero is now a 3D character, built in code and animated live in the browser, with the same gear for each star.
- Placing a mini by touch works like other mobile battlers: the mini sits a little above your finger, on a marked tile.
— Decks of five
- A deck is now a hero and five minis, and up to ten minis can be on the board.
- The elixir purse rises every round, and the Shade is free for everyone.
— The Mason and the Dyer
- The Mason raises a stone wall that stops charges and spears. The Dyer's hits halve heals and shields. The roster is fourteen minis.
- The leaderboard shows the top 100 and how many players are in the season.
- After three ranked losses in a row, the strongest AI opponent steps aside until you win again.
— The Gaffer, the Javelineer and the Champion
- The Gaffer hooks an enemy three tiles ahead before anything moves. The Javelineer throws a spear down its column at battle start.
- From 2,000 trophies the AI opponent is the Champion, trained by playing itself, which plans against the counters to your board.
— Three-star abilities and friends
- At three stars, every mini's ability changes into a stronger form.
- Add friends by name, see who is online, and ask a friend for a friendly battle.
- The Warden can't be stunned: a stun aimed at it hits the caster instead.
— Regal skins and the first win of the day
- Regal skins are earned by reaching levels, from level 5 to level 100.
- Your first ranked win of the day pays double.
- A Feedback box on the menu, and the plan clock never cuts short.
— The Shop and Gilded skins
- A Shop for unlocking minis with coins, and a Gilded skin for every mini and hero. Coins are earned by playing; nothing is sold for money.
- Choose what each mini and hero wears from the Deck screen.
— The same battle on every device
- A battle now plays out identically in every browser, on phones and computers alike, so both players always see the same fight.
— The Gildenring
- The board stands in an arena: the walls, banners, stands and crowd of the Gildenring of Harrowmere.
- Minis walk freely and steer round each other instead of stepping tile to tile.
— The Warden and the Powderkeg
- Two new minis: the Warden, a crossbow that stuns, and the Powderkeg, a walking bomb.
- A Stats tab after each match shows what every mini and hero did.
— A guided first match
- New players learn in a guided first match against the Trainer.
- Matchmaking pairs you with anyone searching at once, and an AI opponent steps in when nobody is.
— Heroes that grow
- Thirty seconds to plan each round, and heroes grow stronger every round of a match.
— Sound, music and a ranked ladder
- Sound effects made live in the browser, and a soundtrack for the menu, the match and the results.
- A ranked ladder with leagues, and an AI opponent that plays to win.
— AutoArena goes online
- AutoArena opens at autoarena.gg: free, in the browser, with accounts, Google sign-in and coins earned by playing.
